Well the nail is embedded in the skin... if you try lift it up, you'll know all about it.

- It will be sore to touch

- It will be inflamed.

- Even a sock will agrivate it.

Get to a chiropidist, let them remove it. Promise it doesn't hurt.

DO NOT TRY REMOVE IT YOURSELF. YOU WILL MAKE IT WORSE.What is an ingrown toenail?
sometimes if you clip your nails incorrectly and trim a bit on the side it can start to grow into the side of your skin, you would be able to feel it digging in at the sides of your nail as you walk of if you put pressure on it.

If you notice it fairly early before it becomes inflamed and infected you can just trim it, it will hurt a little. otherwise it might be a trip to the doctor as if you leave it too long it can become really painful
an ingrown toenail is when your toenail grows into the skin, usually it gets really bad and you have to go to the doctor to get it removed. It is extreamly pain ful!
