When do you start clipping a puppys toenails?

As early as needed. Breeders clip puppies nails at 1 to 2 weeks old. Just be careful not to cut the quick. When do you start clipping a puppys toenails?
I clip as soon as they walk on linoleum or other hard surfaces and I hear clicking of nails. (well, I used to, now I eyeball them for when they need done)When do you start clipping a puppys toenails?
you can start at anytime..If you plan on clipping them yourself instead of going to an animal hosp. then i would recommend corn starch, flour or whatever if you were to cut the nail to short and get the quick were it will bleed. If you do go to an animal hosp they have whats called kwik stop and that stops the bleeding. also if you don't know when its to short..well clear (pink nails) are easy just clip until you get to the pink almost for black nails there is something were in the middle it starts opening up...its hard to explain without a demontration..you can always go to your vet and they will show you have to do that. well take care.
* if a dog gets good long walks it will not need to get it,s nails clipped very often as the walking keeps them in trim.
I start when they're a week old and try to do it every week.
I start when they are only a few days old, as soon as they are looking like they need it. So you can be doing it anytime. Just be careful of the quick.
First of all you should know how to clip them but it is not at all hard...If your pup has light colored nails it will be even easier b/c where you see through them you can cut...But as early as necessary.
