it wasnt so bad last week and somehow it healed and it
came back.this time its so much worse and it is very swollen

Cut a V in the center of your toenail.This helps it to grow away from your toe.Ingrown toenail?? wat can i do?
Donna's answer is complete rubbish - it doesn't work.
Unfortunately if your nail is gonna grow and cut into your skin, then it will. Always. Sorry.
Find a PODIATRIST. They will trim your nail very quickly and the relief is instant. Sometimes you will need to do this every couple of months as the nail will keep growing back where it was. The podiatrist will advise you if this is likely and can do something about it that will stop the nail growing that way ever again.
