Should I have My Toenails Romoved due to fungus?

Hi, I am only 26 and have severe toenail fungus. This is extremely embarrassing. Both my big toenails have turned solid yellow, are extremely thick, and curl towards the side like a claw (I know, nice). The smaller toenails are beginning to turn dark brown. Is there any hope for me, I know there is Lamisil, but my toes are absolutely horrible. Being a young woman and having this really sucks.Should I have My Toenails Romoved due to fungus?
ah, my mom has the same or had the same problem she plays tennis and the sweat from her feet made her feet and toenails like always moist and they got all fungus-y and then like it got worse etc. she had her toenails removed to try and get rid of it but it actually didnt work and the worse part is the fungus kept her nails from re-growing. The fungus is actually imbeded in the nail bed but anyways her doctor recommended this one cream called...Tineacide? something liek that and you can get it in any drugstore anyways you put it like twice a day and within a month my mom started growing new toenails and now her feet look all nice. Now depending on your severity it might take more than a month but its all worth it right? anyways good luck and i hope it works out for you!Should I have My Toenails Romoved due to fungus?
Use listerine.

soak a cotton ball with the listerine and swab your

toes with it.

Keep doing this until it clears up.

It works slowly but it works.
Well, you can either go to the doctor or get a boyfriend who has a fetish for bear-claws.
Hey, U no there's entire drug industry devoted 2 this problm! R U joking or Canadien? It is very comon ( many have it ). So get some alcohol, Lysterine vinegar or get scrip fr Dr.
Gross try the Lamisil it may work it beats having your toenails removed
My husband for years was embarrassed to do anything for the same condition. I finally talked him into seeing a foot doctor, one that our regular doctor actually recommended. As a result he gave him a prescription for pills ( lamisil ) and he also gave him a prescription for medicine to put on his toes twice a day. When the new nail started growing out, there was this nice white new nail. No more ugly thick brown nail. It took a couple months but it was worth it. He is no longer embarrassed to show his feet.
Go to GNC or local Pharmacy and get some Tea Tree Oil and soak your feet in it. That stuff really works for killing fungus. You can use it anywhere on your body.
This can be serious if it is a fungus. It may not be. Very often mis-diagnosed by GP's. You need to see a specialist and have cultures taken. There are products you can paint on that will kill the nail, then you paint underneath.

Seriously, get it checked out.
See a doctor. You will need to be on an anti-fungal medication for several months. {I think it is taken once a week}. In the meantime I have read the Vick's vapo rub is helpful for toenail fungal infections. Never tried it .
see a doctor
See a doctor because that is just gross, I am normally sympathetic, but that is gross.
one of my toenails has a fungus. i'm putting apple cider vinegar on it every day. it worked last time i had a fungus. mine isn't as severe as yours. there are other home remedies which apparently work better than the storebought stuff and safer than the prescription meds. having them removed seems extreme to me, unless they're already on the verge of falling off. try some home remedies, every day or twice a day for a few months. it'll take some time to notice the difference, but it works. don't give up.
I used Lamisil for two of my toenails. It made one get better, but the other didn't change much. Now, several months later, the better one is back to being fungus-y. My doctor said with Lamisil there's a 20% chance it will come back once it goes away.
Fungus believe it or not can be caused by improper diet. Yes even toe fungus and athletes foot. Take a trip to your local nutrition store and they should be able to help you out with an all natural alternative.
