Last night, my friend stepped on my foot and bent half of my toenail backward. I know that it will bruise, fall off, and then grow back, but what should I do to keep it from getting infected or something?Toenail bent backwards, help?

I just bruised about 4 of my toenails running the LA marathon
I was convinced I'd lost them but oddly they are healing
They were completely black and blue and now 2 are white again..this has only been about 3 weeks...
so maybe yours will heal too..
I have done nothing special ...just shower daily like I always do.

washing/cleaning it everyday will prevent it from infection.. proper hygiene must be done..
