I have a bad ingrown toenail.. Please help!?

It has puss coming out and it even has a little bit of blood. im scared to go to the doctor because i dont want to have it cut out. i heard that tea tree essential oil helps. but Please help!!!!!I have a bad ingrown toenail.. Please help!?

Treatment To treat an ingrown nail at home:

Soak the foot in warm water. Use a nail file to separate the nail from the inflamed skin. Place a small piece of cotton under the nail. Wet the cotton with water or antiseptic. Repeat those steps, several times a day if necessary, until the nail begins to grow out and the pain goes away. Also, trim the toenail and apply over-the-counter antibiotics. If this does not work and the ingrown nail gets worse, see a foot specialist (podiatrist) or skin specialist (dermatologist).

The doctor may remove part of the nail or extra skin . If the toe is infected, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics. These may be applied to the skin or taken by mouth.

In recurrent cases, your doctor may permanently reshape your nail with chemicals or lasers

You really need to get to the doctors... Its a simple thing tohave it removed, they inject your toe and then cut it off, it doesnt hurt.

If you really dont want to, it wont go away... But you can try this...

Long soak it in hot water to soften it all up.. Then get some dental floss and slowly get it behind the in growing toe nail and leave it behind there, at this point you can cut it out yourself or just try to leave that there and let it grow out slowly...

But Doctors is the best idea
If there is pus, there is infection. If there is infection and it is not treated, you could lose your entire toenail or even your toe. Just suck it up and go to the doctor. Once they take care of it it's over. If you go and try to do at-home rememdies you could end up with a worse situation that you've already got.
I had this problem on both big toes and had to go to a foot doctor. She did surgery and cut it out. It wasn't a big deal--just a little gross to watch (at one point there was a Q-Tip with blue gunk sticking out of it--strangest sight ever). It didn't hurt--my toe was numbed up.

Ever since I have NOT gotten another ingrown. I highly recommend seeing what your doctor says because I know these hurt a lot. Both nails look smaller since like 1cm was cut off, but it's never been commented on. People haven't really noticed the difference.
It is important that you go to the doctor and get it sorted.

There is nothing to be frightened of.

Not only is the surgery quick, it will be a lot less painful than an infected toe and the relief you will feel when it is done will be immeasurable.

They anaesthatise your toe just to remove a little bity of nail.

Be Brave.
Puss and blood means you have an infection. You have to go to the podiatrist and have that taken care of. You will probably have to take antibiotics, as well. Tea Tree Oil will not do anything at this point.
Just go to the foot doctor. Surgery is minor. They do it in the office, it takes like 5 minutes.
you beter take your but to the doctor if you wana keep that toe hurry b4 you end up up like toeless joe and we all know what happened to him.....
