i have an ingrown toenail and it started pussing today. I've had this for about 2 weeks. What can I do to get rid of this? the pain is getting worse! and im always on my feet. Ingrown toenail pussing?
You can either go to the doctors from some help on how to cut yours toenails. Maybe some antiobiotics, either orally or topically directly onto your toe and he may decicde to refer you for an appointment to get it removed.
I usually remove them myself by sliding some clean nail scissors down the edge of the nail and cutting the offending nail off!!!
Good luck!Ingrown toenail pussing?
Ouch! I had the same problem in my Junior year of High School. I trimmed my toenail wrong and screwed myself up for about a year and a half. Set up an appointment with your doctor ASAP (I put it off until I couldn't walk). After local anesthesia (the worst part of it) your doctor will cut off the offending portion of your nail, wrap you up, and send you home.
But before the (minor) surgery, you have to make a choice: get the portion removed and let it grow back, or see a podiatrist (foot specialist you doctor will refer you to) and let him apply a compound to your toe after the surgery that will stop the nail from re-growing there. I recommend option two. I went with option one and regret it. Go to the specialist and get it removed and stop it from coming back. It will just be a small portion of the toenail, and will be unnoticeable.
Good luck and choose wisely.

When i was at senior school i had the same thing happen.
my toe swelled up and was red on the side.
Playing sport at school was a nightmare and people would often end up treading on my toe.this would cause me a lot of pain and my toe would bleed quite heavily.
the best thing you need to do is to see your doctor who should refer you to a shiropodist.
This happened to me and i had a little operation to remove a sliver of nail on the problem side.you will not be put to sleep just a little needle to numb the area.
If you keep cutting it out with scissors or clippers it will only get worse every time it grows back.
I had this opperation about 15 years ago and havnt had a problem since.
Dont be scared to talk to your doctor you will be fine.
If you leave it it may get worse.
Hope this has helped you.
We have a first aid column in our newspaper and a while ago I saw a bit on in grown toenails. They suggested sliding some dental floss under the nail to lift it.
Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to it, but it sounds as though that might help.
But if you have an infection, you do need to sort that out first. Go to the doctor for antibiotics, if nothing else.
Anytime you have an infection, you should soak it really good in hydrogen peroxide. Then, you clean it off and rub triple antibiotic ointment on it. Repeat that at least once or twice a day until it is better. Hydrogen peroxide is very cheap. It looks just like a bottle of rubbing alcohol and cost about $1. You need to put gauze on it or something (Dr Scholl's soft pad) so walking in shoes won't hurt it.
TRIDERM Cream and Ointment are indicated for the topical treatment of the following dermal infections: tinea pedis, tinea cruris and tinea corporis due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microporum canis; candidiasis due to Candida albicans; particularly those accompanied by local inflammation and/or pruritus, and bacterial infections.
You need to go to the podiatrist. I just went through problems with ingrown toenails, and had my toenail cut out. It feels so much better now. But if you dont get that treated, the infection could spread into the bone, then the only option would be for them to cut your toe off.
To get rid of an ingrown toenail, try cutting out a V shaped portion right in the middle of the nail. It's supposed to relieve the pressure on the growing nail that causes it to grow in the skin.
see a doctor quick
you could loose a foot or at lreast the toe
fast
emergency
alcohol it and go now
not kidding
