When will my toenail recover?

after an incident with a door and my big toe yesterday, my toenail has been torn pretty much all the way down. it hurts A LOT but my dad says it won't go black and fall off, because there's no damage to the nail bed





but how long will it be before it goes back to normal? i'm a sixteen year old girl, and i have a pretty good diet

Last year, a friend ran and hugged me, and jammed my toenail. The nail died and fell off, and it took a whole year before it grew all the way back.
